In this video I review the basic ideas of the one-way ANOVA, with emphasis on the model, including both common parameterizations of it: the effects version and the cell-means version. You should have learned about the analysis of variance in previous course-work. But this is the most advanced statistical method that we will talk about in detail in this course, so I think it is worthwhile providing you with this review. If you are rusty on the ANOVA, be sure to watch this video and consult other resources (e.g., your textbook or course notes from a previous course in which ANOVA was taught, or online teaching materials on the subject) to firm-up your understanding. If, on the other hand, you feel quite comfortable with the ideas and methods of ANOVA, you can skip this video.
