In this video we begin our illustration of one-way ANOVA models in R through Example 11 in Mod13Script.R. You should open this script in RStudio and follow along while watching. In this portion of the example we show how to fit and summarize the model in the default parameterization used in R, which applies treatment contrasts (contr.treatment), which set the effect for the first level of a factor to zero, making it the "reference level" for the factor. We show how to summarize the fitted model in various ways and touch on how the default summary is, and should be, different for ANOVA models than for linear regression models.
