In this video we continue to discuss subscripts, this time concentrating on lists. Lists have elements that may be of different modes and classes. E.g., a list may contain three elements: a character vector, a numeric matrix, and a numeric vector. Therefore we can subscript a list to select an element of the list, to select a sub-list of the list, or to select elements of an element of the list. In this video we illustrate all of these techniques. While watching this video you should open Mod10Script.R and follow along with Example 7.
This video covers fundamental material of great importance for R programming. If you have some prior experience with R, some of the content here may be a review for you, but I strongly encourage you to watch this video anyway.
